What We Do
Global Evangelistic Missions, founded and led by Jim and Kathy Drown, is sparking revival fires and equipping the body of Christ in power evangelism and healing ministry wherever they go. In addition, Jim and his team conduct evangelistic healing crusades throughout South America, Africa, India, Mexico, and other places throughout the world. Thousands upon thousands have been saved, healed, and delivered.
Global Evangelistic Missions connects with pastors and leaders of local congregations in the cities where we minister. We do this in order for new believers to be connected to a church community. Wherever Global Evangelistic Missions travels we take teams on short-term mission trips, conduct street outreaches, evangelistic crusades, prison ministry, children's ministry, feed the poor, prophetic evangelism, as well as host pastor and leader equipping gatherings. Over the last few years we have also been moving in governmental favor, speaking to those in positions of authority in the government as well as business leaders.
Jim is a revivalist, who ministers with the "fire that is in his bones." Under the powerful anointing of the Holy Spirit, Jim and the GEM team, along with the cooperation of area pastors and Christians, bring God’s "Glory Invasion" to cities around the world.
On behalf of GEM, Jim has ministered in many countries across the globe. They have held crusades in over 35 cities in South America and started 22 International Schools of Ministry in many of those cities. Jim and Kathy Drown offer opportunities for GEM teams and volunteers to travel the world with them and be a vital part of working in miracles, salvations, and signs and wonders. No one on a GEM missions trip gets to "sit on the bench." Jim and Kathy believe that all spirit-filled believers should "do the stuff" that Jesus told us to do—lay on hands, heal the sick, raise the dead, save the lost. GEM teams and volunteers are equipped as they pray for the needy in evangelistic crusades, prisons, on the streets, and in church conferences throughout the world.
GEM has a desire and anointing to try to help you bring your church and city into a fresh experience of God's outpouring. We believe that people around the world are seeking for God and hungry for His presence. Jim & Kathy would love to join with you and see what mighty things God will do when together you help bring a "Glory Invasion" to your church and town.

Our Founders:
Jim and Kathy Drown
Global Evangelistic Missions was founded by Jim and Kathy Drown in 2007. The Drowns have dedicated a large part of their lives to taking God's saving, healing, and delivering power to the nations.
Jim and his wife of fifty years, Kathy, are founders of Global Evangelistic Missions (GEM), a global ministry with home offices near Atlanta, Georgia.
Jim has a passion for power evangelism. He ministers with a powerful healing, prophetic anointing. Jim is also a prominent businessman in Atlanta, Georgia and on a personal level has a great sense of humor. Friends have called him "the man that walked on water" because in days gone by he was a member of Canada’s championship national barefoot water ski team.
Jim and Kathy are proud parents of three children and proud grandparents of seven grandchildren.
What We Believe
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, that it was given under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it gives complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of mankind. We hold the Bible to be the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. It is our source of revelation of God, the knowledge of salvation, the origin of all things and of the hereafter. It is the final Court of Appeal on all points of doctrine, life and godliness (1 Tim 3:16-17; 1 Peter 1:21; Hebrews 4:12)
We believe there is one living and true God (manifested as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) infinitely perfect and eternal in existence and equal in glory, majesty, and power.
We believe God to be the Creator of all things and the Author of eternal redemption.
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the only and all sufficient Saviour. We believe the Lord Jesus Christ to be God manifest in the flesh as the very Son of God – true God and true man, Creator of all things with the Father, and the appointed Judge of all men (Colossians 1:12-19; Acts 17:31).
We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, his vicarious death on behalf of lost humanity, his appointed burial, his bodily resurrection, his ascension on high, his High-Priestly ministry in the heavenlies and his physical return to the earth to receive the righteous both living and dead, and to execute judgement upon the wicked.
We acknowledge the blessed Holy Spirit as Comforter, the divine agency of regeneration, the Revealer of Christ and His work on the cross, and the Distributor of gifts and graces upon the Church. We believe that water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church. They are, however, not to be regarded as a means of salvation.
We regard:
-
Water baptism by immersion as a visible representation of our death, burial, and resurrection with Christ.
-
The Lord’s Supper, as a means of fellowship of the spiritual body of Christ, and as a partaking of the spiritual benefits bequeathed to New Covenant believers through the perpetual reverent observance of the ordinance.
-
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, subsequent to the New Birth
-
with the Biblical evidences of speaking with other tongues
-
with the enduement of power to witness
-
with the accompanying gifts and graces
-
with the fruit of the Spirit
(Acts 1:8; Acts 10:44-46; 19:1-6; 1 Corinthians 12:5-11; Galatians 5:24; Romans 5:5)
-
We believe that every Christian is a member of the mystical Body of Christ – His church (Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 1:20-23; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 4:11-16).
We believe that divine healing is part of the great gift of salvation and that through the gifts of healing, whether by the laying on of hands, the anointing with oil, or by simple faith alone, physical healing and deliverance from pain are privileges of humanity throughout the Gospel Age (Mark 16:17-18; 1 Corinthians 2:9-10; 1 Peter 2:24; James 5:13-16).
We recognize that the mandate and privilege of the Christian is to spread the Gospel to the lost world making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything that is commanded. This may be accomplished by preaching the Word, praying, living according to the tenets of the Bible, and the sacrificial giving of the saints (Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:18-20; Matthew 3:9-10; 1 Corinthians 9:7-23).
We believe in the physical, personal, soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ and the events pertinent to the following scriptures: Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Titus 2:12-14; 11 Thessalonians 1:7-10.
We believe all Christians are called into a life of separation from sinful practices, and that they should take every opportunity to promote righteousness and godliness (James 4:4; Romans 12:1-2; 1 John 2:15- 17; 11 Corinthians 6:13-18; Romans 13:1-10).
We recognize that God is continually restoring truths and light to His Church. We, therefore, place no limit on further revelation. However, each must be substantiated according to and rooted in the Scriptures.
We believe that the laying on of hands as practiced in the New Testament is an operation of the ministry of the Holy Spirit for:
-
the dedication of children
-
the ordination of ministries
-
the sending out of ministries (Acts 13:3)
-
the healing of the sick
-
the baptism of the Holy Spirit
-
the reception of spiritual gifts
-
